Breathing New Hope: Inhalant CBD Shows Potential in Slowing Brain Tumor Growth

In a pivotal study, researchers have identified a promising new treatment approach for glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive brain cancer with limited effective treatments and a typically poor prognosis. The research focuses on the potential therapeutic effects of inhalant cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound derived from cannabis.

Treatment with CBD was associated with increased activity of proteins like TIAR-1 and the eukaryotic initiation factor-2α (eIF2α), both crucial for the stress response in cells.
